Terms of Service

The short version: bring your own books, read them in peace, don't abuse the service. The full terms below.

Last updated: 7 June 2026.

SublimeRead is operated by Sujeet KC, a sole proprietor based in British Columbia, Canada ("SublimeRead", "we", "us"). By using SublimeRead you agree to these terms.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent where you live, if higher) to use SublimeRead.

Your account

You're responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping your sign-in details secure. One person per account.

Your content

You own the EPUB and PDF files you upload. You grant SublimeRead only the permission needed to store them and read them back to you. We don't claim ownership and we don't sell your books or reading data.

Acceptable use

Only upload books you have the right to read. Don't use SublimeRead to infringe copyright or to redistribute others' work.

Billing & subscription

The Reader plan is $8 USD per month or $72 USD per year. Payments are processed by Stripe, which acts as the merchant of record: Stripe handles the transaction and calculates and collects any applicable taxes at checkout, so your total may be higher than the listed price depending on where you are.

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. You can cancel anytime from your account settings under “Manage subscription”. When you cancel, your Reader access continues until the end of the period you've already paid for, and you won't be charged again. We don't provide refunds for partial periods except where required by law. Prices may change, but we'll give you notice before a change affects you.

Service “as is”

SublimeRead is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any particular voice, format, or feature will always be available. SublimeRead reads files you provide; we're not responsible for the content, accuracy, or legality of those files.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SublimeRead and its operator won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for loss of data, arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under applicable consumer-protection law that can't be waived.

Suspension & termination

You can stop using SublimeRead and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms or abuses the service. If we end your account without cause while you're a paying subscriber, we'll refund the unused portion of your current period.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

Changes

We may update these terms; we'll note the date above when we do. Questions? Contact support.
