Privacy Policy
We keep as little as possible, and we never sell your reading data. The details below.
Last updated: 7 June 2026.
What we store
- Your account: name, email, and either your sign-in credentials or, if you use Google sign-in, your linked Google account and profile image.
- Your uploaded book files, kept in private storage scoped to you.
- Reading data needed for the product: progress, preferences, bookmarks, highlights, notes, and reading-time sessions.
- Your plan (free or Reader) and, for subscribers, a Stripe customer reference so we can manage billing.
- Basic technical data tied to your sessions, such as IP address and browser/device (user-agent), used to keep you signed in and to protect the account.
We do not store your payment card details. Card data is handled entirely by Stripe (see below).
Service providers
We don't sell your data, and we don't share your books or reading activity with advertisers. We do rely on a small set of providers to run the service, and share only what each needs:
- Cloudflare — hosting, our database, and storage of your uploaded files.
- Stripe — payment processing for the Reader subscription. Stripe acts as the merchant of record and handles your card details and applicable taxes.
- Resend — sending transactional email (verification and password-reset links).
- Google — only if you choose to sign in with Google.
Your control
You can delete a book at any time, which removes its file along with its bookmarks, highlights, and notes. To erase everything, delete your account from your account settings — that permanently removes your account, your reading data, and your uploaded files, cancels any active Reader subscription, and deletes your customer record at Stripe (Stripe retains transaction history only as long as the law requires). No need to email anyone.
